National History Day project

My project is on the rights and responsibilities of protesting from problematic countries or seemingly peaceful countries. I am focusing on how the government reacts to the protesting and if it is a good reaction the coincides with what the protesters think should be happening and revealing the actual rights that people have for protesting. I am also showing the responsibilities of the protesters and if they carry out the responsibilities.
The topic should be looked into more because it involves the safety of citizens when they stand up for what's right and how some citizens abuse the power given to them. I feel as if the peaceful protesting is the one that gets attacked the most instead of the violent protests. The peaceful ones are always the ones that end up being killed or arrested so the responsibilities of the two types of protesting are important because it is a life or death situation.
My next steps in my project this week is the make my project more specific and correct my annotations to make sure that they fit the requirements. Once I finish correcting them I will start to work on my annotated bibliography and then maybe begin on my notecards

  1. I think this is a very important topic, and I think it's really cool that you're researching for it. People really should know and understand more about things like this so maybe something can be done.
