What would happen in a world where it was the child's choice to go to school? Would you go to school?

    I feel like if it was your choice to school a lot of people wouldn't go so the teaching staff wouldn't be able to paid as highly so the teaching wouldn't be as good. It would also affect the way the world worked. We might not have electricity if school wasn't required for children because if no one had to go to school and going to school was more like a hobby you could do when you wanted to there might not be the drive to achieve more than just the required because just going to school was one step ahead of some people.
    If it was my choice to go to school, I think at first I wouldn't go because I would be so excited to not have to wake up so early but later on in the year I would think about my future and start to go. The prompt never said that not going to school changed anything about the acceptances of jobs for unschooled workers. I am a anxious person so not have a structured schedule would be bad for me because I would just sit around panicking.
