I am researching protesting in different countries. I am focusing on how the government reacts to the protesting and if they give them many rights for it. I also like to look into how the citizens react to the responsibility of protesting and seeing others protesting. Both topics give insight on the actual rights of protesting for those select countries. I have been focusing more on the countries that seem to be very problematic in the rights of their citizens.
I have learned that most governments do not take kindly to their citizens protesting and will do anything to enforce that. They seem to not care what the protest is about and really just want to reenforce their power and they happen to enjoy using violence on the protestors. There are a few exceptions though because Russia doesn't seem to react towards the protesting happening and is all for as long as it is peaceful then they can go ahead and protest. The citizens mostly protest peacefully but some protestors get carried away and protest violently and mean. The citizens can also enforce rights onto other citizens by showing that they don't appreciate the protesting and that it should stop. A lot of the protestors do fall into the peer pressure when that happens.

National History Day project
My project is on the rights and responsibilities of protesting from problematic countries or seemingly peaceful countries. I am focusing on how the government reacts to the protesting and if it is a good reaction the coincides with what the protesters think should be happening and revealing the actual rights that people have for protesting. I am also showing the responsibilities of the protesters and if they carry out the responsibilities.
The topic should be looked into more because it involves the safety of citizens when they stand up for what's right and how some citizens abuse the power given to them. I feel as if the peaceful protesting is the one that gets attacked the most instead of the violent protests. The peaceful ones are always the ones that end up being killed or arrested so the responsibilities of the two types of protesting are important because it is a life or death situation.
My next steps in my project this week is the make my project more specific and correct my annotations to make sure that they fit the requirements. Once I finish correcting them I will start to work on my annotated bibliography and then maybe begin on my notecards

What would happen in a world where it was the child's choice to go to school? Would you go to school?
I feel like if it was your choice to school a lot of people wouldn't go so the teaching staff wouldn't be able to paid as highly so the teaching wouldn't be as good. It would also affect the way the world worked. We might not have electricity if school wasn't required for children because if no one had to go to school and going to school was more like a hobby you could do when you wanted to there might not be the drive to achieve more than just the required because just going to school was one step ahead of some people.
If it was my choice to go to school, I think at first I wouldn't go because I would be so excited to not have to wake up so early but later on in the year I would think about my future and start to go. The prompt never said that not going to school changed anything about the acceptances of jobs for unschooled workers. I am a anxious person so not have a structured schedule would be bad for me because I would just sit around panicking.
